Question GSM 850 and 900, can work together

Is normal found a GSM network working in to bands, normaly 850 with 1900 and 900 and 1800, but it is posible to use a 850 and 900 in the same network. also the frequencies from 850 and 900 do not overlap so i think in the point of view of network is no problem, but what about the terminals? how to make a balance between both network? we have a Huawei BSC6900 version R13 with DBS3900, any ideas? is a good option.

    Thanks

    hi friend
there's a overlap between 850 DL:869.2–894.2 and 900 UL:890.0–915.0. maybe at leas 5MHz Separation between DL and UL

Most probably, there would be an interference even there is a guard band of 5 MHz. Interferences are due to out-of-band emissions of handsets; you cannot re-design all handsets not to emit anything in that overlapped frequency band while standards allow
