    Default Frequency plan check before implementation

    Dear Huawei experts,

    Is there any way to check frequency plan to avoid BCCH/BSIC conflict or any potential risk before implementing it in real network ?

    Use a planning tool...for example U-net.

    Hi;

    I think you can do it manually using Excel.

    There is piano tool support by Mapinfo, you can check the frequency plan before implementation to check adjecent and co channels.
    Very useful.

    HI

    the best solution to check any inconsistencies before FP implementation is to import the NEW FP in CME
    if it is imported correctly it is ok, if not it will give you the errors to be corrected
    you can do it in CME offline or on CME wchich is a module in M2000 (you need to create a planned area containing the BSC of FP)
    also you can use weblmt offline and implement MML command to check for errors

    please add rep if you find the answers are good

    Hi,

    I usually do the following checks first, just in excel:
    • Check if no co-Channel, Adj-Channel (BCCH & TCH) on same site;
    • Check if ARFCN policy is respected (ARFCN assigned to BCCH and TCH are correct);
    • Check if #BCCH's on BA list after implementation is <=32 (or 31 depending if you have UMTS/LTE layers);
    • Check if there are no neighbors with same BCCH/BSIC;

    Then I use old Nastar GSM tool to check:
    • co-BCCH/BSIC usage distance;
    • general overview looking specially at those known "problematic cells".

    Finally, import to CME and check for errors.

    Many of the mentioned tools do the checkings I mentioned. But in my case I prefer to have full control so I do it in Excel.

    Dear Ghost78,
    Please how to check it using Excel?
    Assuming both cells having Co-BCCH BSIC is not defined as neighbors
    Let's sayy we will do the check based on specific Distance

    you can use MCOM for graphical check. even old version 4.2 also support it.

    I don't speak about Graphical check, I need to have list of cells have Co-BCCH BSIC
