Dear Friend,
Yes i have MCPA in our network , What exactly is your question. actually the most important difference with SCPA is power value for TRUs.

Re: MCPA RBS 6000 Series
RBS6000 has a working bandwidth of 20MHz only (difference between highest and lowest frequency allocated per RRU)
RBS6000 has a power of 60W only. For 80W new HW license/activation code is required.

Re: MCPA RBS 6000 Series
Hi all,
I want to know what value of these parameters: BSPWR, BSPWRT, BSTXPWR should be taken when using MCPA?

Re: MCPA RBS 6000 Series
Look Iara,
Now i have MCPA fully functional in our network. Ask anything which you need. The values of BSPWRB, BSPWRT are now depended on follwoing two things.
Do you have 40 or 60W license
Do you have IPM (intellegent power managent) feature activated
Please, now there will be no internal hybrid combiner loss when you are using MCPA.

We have 60W and do not have IPM features.

Re: MCPA RBS 6000 Series
Please note 1 RU can be configured up to 4 TRX.
so lets say you have 3 TRX then 60/3 = 20W, means 43dBm you can use for BSPWRB & BSPWRT.
or if you have 4 TRX then 60/4 = 15W, means 41.76 or 42 dBm you can use for BSPWRB & BSPWRT.
Still i will recommend to use IPM then with 4 TRX you can use 43, as it will be possible to overbook you Power amplifier.

Re: MCPA RBS 6000 Series
Hi Imran,
I was wondering, are you working for an operator? In any case, has E******* provided you with sample comand files for different TRX configuration?
It's interesting you overbook up to 43dBm per TRX. Did you swap those sites with RBS6000 from older E******* RBSs? If this is the case, what were the old BSPWRB/BSPWRT/BSTXPWR values?
It would be great if you share some more info with us.

Re: MCPA RBS 6000 Series
Hi,
Our previous RBS were 2000 series and BSPWRB/T were 47. But you know there were hybrid combiner losses so BSPWR & BSTXPWR (locating) were 44 considering 3.5 dBm losses.
Any other information related to it, plz let me know
