Bluetooth GPS is good for TEMS and other drive test tools. The sensitivity of BT one is very high, that is important when you drive under trees and same places.

Globalsat, Royaltek, Garmin, Holux, ...: all are good.

the problem is battery consumption is a little bit higher for TEMS devices.

No, for BT GPS used with TEMS, you can add the GPS under the front glass and charge it with car charging, so the battery is not the problem.

If I'm making a drive test with a scanner, then I use the GPS on the scanner, otherwise I use a http://www.usglobalsat.com/p-62-bu-353-w.aspx

Regarding bluetooth GPS, I had a problem where for some reason it was showing much weaker RSCP than it really was. After repeating the drive test with a USB GPS the signal level was normal. I don't know if this is a bug in TEMS or in my laptop, but just something to keep in mind.
