We have a program at uni and it has Hasp HL dongle. Sometimes I need to do simulations with this program at home. It is difficult to take the dongle as maybe some others at uni wants to use it. Once I took the dongle and create 'dmp' file. However I do not know how to convert it to 'dng'. If someone can help me to convert to 'dng' I do not need to go to school to use that software.
Just forget about the HASHL2xxx emulator. It's only can hold HASP4 emulation.
Use Multikey or vUSB emulators.
It's a bit tricky to emulate a HASP HL dongle.
It's not as simple as dumping and converting the dongle into a reg file.
You have to extract a Q/A response from the S/W by yourself.
This can be done using TORO Monitor.
With the dongle plugged and the software running, monitor the it with TORO Monitor.
It depend on how the developer of the S/W enveloped their software.
Sometime it can be just 150 querry or maybe up to 1000 query.
After finish monitoring Q/A inside the S/W, save it to .bin format.
Use LogToTables from Multikey folder to convert it to reg file.
Combine this reg file with the dump reg file, refer to the example given at the Example folder for more information.
Now install Multikey and the reg file.
If you're doing it right, the software will run smoothly without dongle.
If envelope error occurs, you have to extract more Q/A from your software and add it to the current reg file.
Hope this help.
This is a really nice tutorial from you shiela, except its not always that easy
there is a hasplogger and a toro logger (posted by DCA) use toro, it has more output
Good luck, the thing is no one here will have your software so it will be nearly impossible that someone help you but at least we can guide you through some steps
You're welcome. Note that here, no one can extract the Q/A response unless you do it yourself. This is because, only you have the access to the physical dongle.
