Default Locking UE to specific UARFCN

    Hi everyone,

Just a quick question. Im using Samsung SGH-A737 (Qualcomm mode) for field testing. I need to lock the UE to a specific UARFCN. There seems to be an option in the field test menu to do this (*#197328640# --> option 4 --> option 3 --> option 2), but even with that the UE doesn't lock to the UARFCN that I want. Any ideas??

    Arrow

i know how to lock mobile in 2 modes namely:

    automatic mode: gsm + wcdma.

    umts only modeL wcdma only.

so you need to do *#3685247*# then select number 3 two times to go to modes.

    hope this helps.

    bye

Thanks for the replies. Both codes work only for locking UEs into different bands i.e. 850/1900. I'm trying to lock onto a specific channel since one of the band (850) has multiple channels.

    Hi

With A 737 you cant lock to a UARFCN it is possible to lock in band only i guess its the limitation of the Samsung A 737

I wonder if Samsung or LG have any phones that can lock into specific UARFCN. I am trying to find a cheaper alternative to TEMS phone.

Thank you. I have checked a few phones but I can't find any codes with lock UARFCN or lock frequency channel. Do you see any of them that can do this ?

Now I'm thinking about getting a Nokia phone to use FTD NetMornitor 9.1/9.2. I recall someone in this forum told that it can lock onto specific UARFCN.

Last week, I have checked estimated prices with TEMS Pocket Classic and Nemo Handy FT. Prices are way too expensive for me. I'm quite surprised that price of Nemo Handy is a higher than TEMS Pocket. I don't need any features for data collection or data anylysic either. I would like to have only forcing features to lock band/channel/cell/scrambling code for field test.
