Default External Antenna Calculation - RG 174 attenuation loss

    Hi,

We need some information to choose external antennas for our drive test teams.

I've contacted to antenna supplier and they use RG-174 or RG-58U to be external cables. As we know that the total gain of external antenna should be 0 dBi, so we need information about these cables:

    - Cable attenuation loss at 2100 GHz (WCDMA) and 900/1800 MHz (GSM)
    - Is this much differences between cables from different cable manufactures?

    Thank you in advance,

    cdmahn

dear all the loss in drivetest cable is too less sometimes is neglected but if u suspect of ang degradation u can do a small check before connect to external antenna if the test mobile installed measuring software check rx level and then connect to external antenna again check the level if u donot have problem in cable u see no difference
