AMR codec request

Hi experts,

I have strange case to share with u, actually in my BSS level the AMR is not activated at all for the whole GSM network but i can see in nemo analyse some AMR request in uplink and answer by AMR mode in DL. Even the MSC guy confirmed that he found out some AMR request!!
How comes?
I'm a bit confused.

Can any one light my way
