SDCCH congestion

Hi all,

In alcatel bsc (b10), we have some sdcch congestion of cells. We planified for those cells 4 statics canal (which mean 22 Erl to accept) but when i view the sdcch_erl_bh for the day of congestion this indicator is about 10 erl which mean that theorically we can't have a congestion but the sdcch_max_assign_bh is 5% ! (all TCH TS and SD are available).

Does it happen during the night on a group of cells at the same time ?
Are cells on the location area border ?

Some group of cells are in the same BSC (the same LAC so) ... yes for same cells the congestion is in the night.

The other are not.

dear collegue,
did you monitored the SMS traffic?, is there a significant increase on both sms MO and MT at night?
if the answer is yes, can you verify with the operator if they have an free sms promotion or something like that?
