Re: Cleartone CM5000
To do TEA1 you need Z19 Flashfile, Upgrade Tool for TEA-1, industrial Encription, M0t0r0la product order number is GMVN5615 (was GMVN5594 previously).
Between the CM5000 terminal and the KVL-3000 keyloader you need the GMKN1022 20-pol connection cable.
It is totally same as the MTM700 & MTM800 Serial Data Cable.

Re: Cleartone CM5000
Hi, Gabor, Thanks
TEA1 you need Z19 Flashfile - I have ER01_011_047-000 for TGR990 (Cassisian CM5000), and looking for flashfile for******** CM5000. Hardware is the same, but I can not load KVL mode in my TGR
Upgrade Tool for TEA-1, industrial Encription, M0t0r0la product order number is GMVN5615 - The last one is GMVN5933A GR1.11 CPS+TEA1. 5615 is 1.8.1 version. But I do not understand. The flash file is written to Radio with "Application Writer", What it is needed for?
GMKN1022 20-pol connection cable. - I have it
It is totally same as the MTM700 & MTM800 Serial Data Cable. MTM800 even can be programmed with it (after some manipulation)

Re: Cleartone CM5000
The CM-5000 is a very problematic transceiver:
if the repeater mode is activated in the device and it is upgraded, this function is lost. Reactivation with PIN code required.
If this code is known, there is no problem, but if it is not known, there could be a serious problem because the device is no longer supported and obtaining the code is almost impossible.
The device cannot handle high power in continuous DMO-repeater mode. The RF-final could burn down, and if you want to replace them, you must open the cover and after them got K-code error -it must be re-flashed from the factory.
I currently have two CM-5000 radios:
one has 0 watts of transmitting power but has a current consumption,
the other has a black screen and does not communicate with the computer at all (nor in /BOOTLNK-mode).
My suggestion:
leave this device, it's not worth it, has too much trouble.
If you can, use an M0t0r0la MTM5400 or 5500 terminal instead (upgrade, downgrade, enable functions are very simple and the output power is real 10 Watt with large cooling surface).

Re: Cleartone CM5000
Gabor, I don't agree with you. I have four hundred CM5000. We use them for 10 years. But not much for repeaters. It's breaks much less than sepura or cassidian radios. No problem with pin codes, just save it in db when you are buying it. Entering pin time not more than one minute.
The only problem that I can not activate authentication and encryption. Today I have written a new Key to it with KVL, but it is still don't want to authenticate to system.
I don't know what to do...

Re: Cleartone CM5000
Unfortunately, we have a failure rate of exactly 50% for the CM-5000 terminals used as DMO-repeater.
The Hungarian type-approval of the equipment has expired, so it can no longer be used in the Hungarian Ministry of the Interior's unified digital radio communication system.
In 2022, 42,000 radio terminals will be operating in the national unified digital radio system.
Airbus terminals are used in the capital and its provinces, while Sepura and M0t0r0la terminals are used in the countryside.
The older EADS-Cassidian radio equipment was donated to the Civil Guard.
For TGR model, feel free to contact the German company Oppermann-Telekom. They are very helpful.

Re: Cleartone CM5000
What You need is MR01_011_011.bin Firmware
It is same for Cleartone CM9000 and CM5000. Big M bought this model from Cleartone and changed outside design while inside is almost the same.

Re: Cleartone CM5000
Yeeeehooo! I did it. There was one problem - I'm .
CM5000 has ‘tamper protection’. When you open the radio - something happens with authentication hardware (I didn't find anything about it in basic service manual, but it happens). And my test radio was opened for several times.

I have taken another Radio - 10 minutes and TEA1 is working!
Ranengpro
MR01_011_011.bin- is not the last one. The last one is MR01.0XX.047
Applying files:
ER01_011_047-000

TGR 990 47

The only difference from M0t0r0la is EADS title on the screen
