Post ISIM needed for 5G SA (SUCI Calculation)

    Hello all,

I've setup a number of 5G NSA Lab network using ISIM from:
    Gemalto/Thales (80.00f GTO Milenage) and SmartJac (SMAOTA100).
These are 4G compatible ISIM that we can update the Ki and OPc for each test network.
    I've also updated
    - IMS parameters (Domain, P-CSCF, IMPI, IMPU)
    - PLMN parameters for Technology selection for the UE to scan (or not to scan - forbidden PLMN) certain PLMN.
    - AD for normal usage /w 2 or 3 digits PLMN per design
    - ACC - normal priority
    - etc.

I am looking to implement 5G SA with SUCI (using non NULL encryption), and looking to Update the USIM Service Table (UST).
Does anyone know if a new SIM is needed for 5G SA (with SUCI)? Here in the States, my mobile operator (T Mobile), have suggested that we upgraded our ISIM to support 5G. The New ISIM has a "R15" stencil on them, but I am not able to even read these ISIM to validate if they have additional UST (and Private Key, Key Profile, etc.) for SUCI.

Anyone know the SIM requirement for 5G SA /w SUCI?

    thanks

Interesting to learn more from your implementation and the results...

    per ETSI TS 131 102 V15.8.0 (2020-01)
Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS); LTE; 5G; Characteristics of the Universal Subscriber Identity Module (USIM) application
    (3GPP TS 31.102 version 15.8.0 Release 15)

Service n°122 5GS Mobility Management Information
    Service n°123 5G Security Parameters
Service n°124 Subscription identifier privacy support
Service n°125 SUCI calculation by the USIM
Service n°126 UAC Access Identities support
Service n°127 Control plane-based steering of UE in VPLMN
Service n°129 5GS Operator PLMN List
Service n°130 Support for SUPI of type network specific identifier

so you need to enable UST *124 and *125.

In EF 5FC0/4F07, you need to provide the details that the UE sends to the AMF/AUSF for authentication/encryption of the SUPI.

EF 5FCO is only available on 5G capable SIM, used in a 5G SA environment.
