Default Measurement report based distance determination from the base station

Hi all, (4G centric question), what is the finest degree of distance determination from the base station that it is possible to measure on an ongoing basis. Normally we'd use PRACH stats for this but it is very coarse. With the Timing advance brackets in 4G, discrimination down to 78m is possible (laterally in a direct line from the base station) as this tells the mobile when to transmit to remove collision with other packets, but is this extractable information that can be used in analytics? Thanks, Julian

    Hi,

Yes timing advance is usable however if you would like to have higher resolution I suggest to take a look into MDT samples as well
