I have a computer running Windows 2000, this computer is very old.
I have a supervisory system licensed by a Hardkey Aladdin Hasp4 lpt port
There is a migration project for a newer system in progress but while this is not happening I am concerned that this very old computer may be defective and make the system unavailable
To prevent computer problems that the system may make available, we are virtualizing our automation system for VMware virtual machines.
I am having dificulty this hardkey and I will describe my attempts below
I created a virtual machine with vmware with windows XP, installed WIZCON 9.1 and tested it, it worked perfectly but as a demonstration because my virtualization server (Dell R620) has no parallel port
I extracted the information from the dongle and obtained the file hasp.dmp, then converted the file into a registry file, this file has the following content:
The contents of the reg file were added to the windows registry and then I used the multkey to emulate the dongle, everything went well, no errors were reported but when I remove the dongle from the parallel port, WIZCON works for two hours and then gives a message that the demonstration period is over
I tried both on the original computer and on the virtual machine and was unsuccessful on either.
Can someone help me?

I already did this procedure and after running the multikey emulator, after removing the hardkey from the db25 parallel port, WIZCON gives a message that the hardkey has been removed and that it will go into demo mode.
Yes, you are correct, my software is old and uses a lpt DB25 hardkey connected directly to the parallel port, that is the question, how to emulate it, remembering that I created a virtual machine in VMware and the new machine does not have a parallel port and for this reason I need to emulate this DB25 lpt hardkey
