    I suppose we are talking about NSA.
    Fake 5G normally refers to situation where you have 5G logo on the phone but you actually haven't added the SCG or don't have NR coverage.

    Typically it's related with upper layer indication being enabled on LTE cells that do not overlap with NR coverage.

    kindly how to check this point from MML command in Huawei network: upper layer indication being enabled on LTE cells

    Whether upperLayerIndication is set for PLMN identified by ENodeBFunction::eNodeBPlmnId.
    The upperLayerIndication is broadcast in SIB2.
    Dependencies: Valid for Baseband Radio Node only.
    Only takes effect if upperLayerAutoConfEnabled=false.
    Specification: 3GPP TS 36.331
    Default=OFF
    Range: 0,1

    I think few smartphones support.....
