Default Mototrbo XPR 5550e Capacity Max Read/Write Issue

Hello everyone, my first post here. I have been playing with Mototrbo radios as a hobby for a few years. I have a few XPR 7550e and XPR 7350e radios and I have programmed them all in CPS 16 828 without any issues.

As a baseline, I have CPS 16 828, CPS 2.26, and Depot v14 installed and all running thanks to this site, austech and radioscanner.ru, and that did take a bunch of translation! I am still confused if I truly need RM, and I have not figured out a way to download or use it, and unsure if actually if needed here.

I am stumped on a newly purchased XPR 5550e, purchased used.
AAM28TRN9RA1AN This is a high split radio, 450-512 running 2.09 firmware, CP 14.00.13.

When I try to read the radio in CPS 16 or 2.0, I receive a capacity max error and to use RM. Depot can read it, but I have not found firmware on any website, ebay seller, or HAM website to use.

What I am trying to do is recover the radio with a blank codeplug/firmware with 2.09 firmware, so I can use CPS 16 828 and then perform hexedit to use on ham radio.

I have searched the 3 forums for several days now, and asked whoever I can find, but due to this radio being a high split, many people did not have a codeplug to try etc.

Any help is most appreciated and I look forward to contributing back to this forum with questions that fall into my experience. Thanks B

    Hi

You may want to check this release doc

Thank you for the release doc. I read it through, but it did not directly highlight a solution to removing capacity max. It mentioned "MOTOTRBO Capacity Max System Server SW" but unsure if this is needed or required to remove it.

One ham friendly radio shop on ebay suggested using depot to flash new firmware and that would wipe it clean. I know there is some risk and need to save the tune, etc and I would rather avoid that if possible (I don't have the firmware anyway).

I was trying to find a codeplug with the current model to do a clone, but have not been able to find this codeplug anywhere for high split. Thanks for helping, any other thoughts?

Hello everyone, I it seems I am still on the hunt for firmware MOTOTRBO_2.0_R0220020002_202010_Mobile.exe OR the preferably the R02.09 version for the XPR 5550e. If someone could share this I would then attempt to flash the firmware in CPS. Thank you

I was able to ascertain the firmware for CPS 2.0, but it seems I cannot flash this firmware without a codeplug. See photo. Does anyone have codeplug R15.00.16 or higher for AAM28TRN9RA1AN, PMEU4140BA? thanks
