What is the meaning and uses of the different fields inside the MEASUREMENT REPORT ma
When a 2G MS receives a paging message and connects to the network, it starts sending MEASUREMENT REPORT massages. I noticed that the message contains a TA value (timing advance) indicating the time taken for the signal to reach between the MS and the BTS. Strangely enough, I found that the TA values sometimes change quite rapidly (e.g. from 0 to 2 in a few seconds). All the messages have the same Cell-ID so it is not Happening due to handovers. Anyone know what's going on and why it is happening?

I can assume that this is due to radio conditions. For example, a phone can react in this way due to reflected signals. Try in another MS and try to change radio conditions
