i think that polar coding could be used in future for mMTC applications
in rel15 turbo code and LDPC are used for control and data

In 5G NR we completely replace Data turbo/ convolution code with LDPC because of lower complexity especially in higher coding rate.
Therefore in NR for DL/UL Data we use LDPC while for DL/UL signalling or control info we use polar code.
