Abstract—
The spectrum insufficiency, which is posing as a threat to the upcoming wireless communication systems, can be tackled using spectrum sharing . The aim of this paper is to propose a cognitive radio based spectrum sharing technique for 5G that utilizes the spectrum sensing function to efficiently assign spectrum to the unlicensed users.
