Hi
Does anyone know how Atoll calculates EIRP for Massive MIMO Solution? Actual Formula, settings recommendation etc
Has anybody experience for setting proper EIRP in Atoll for CBRS to ensure 47dBm EIRP condition per 10 MHz?
I think that without a traffic map, it is difficult to know the load on each beam. After Monte-Carlo simulations, you can see the load on each beam, so we will know the % of RB used

lets first do the theoretical EIRP without Atoll. I was facing some issue while doing it. Bcz it is based on which beam you do it traffic or broadcast. Do you have such theoretical calculations?
All formulas that are used to calculate any parameters in Atoll are described in the document: Atoll 3.4.0 Technical Reference Guide Radio.
You can start with this document. /
Let me try to explain my question better.
For CBRS there is 47 dbm/10 MHz Limit on EIRP.
If I use a Massive MIMO 64T64R solution in Atoll, how I can calculate the Max Power settings I should be Inputting in the tool?
The total transmit power of NR base station can be calculated taking Max Transmit power and No. of Tx antenna into account with following formula.
Total Transmit Power = Max Tx Power + 10*LOG10 (No. of Tx antenna into account)
Total Transmit Power with 64 Tx Antenna = 40 + 10 x log10 (64) = 40 + 18.06 =58.06 dBm
Total Transmit Power had included antenna gain (directive gain in dBi) which is used to calculated Equivalent Isotropical Radiated Power (EIRP).
The Reference Signal Power and the total transmit power of the cell can calculated by using a single channel power using following formula,
Reference Signal Power = Max Tx Power - 10*LOG10 (RBCell*12) dBm
Maximum Transmit Power indicates the transmit power in dBm per single channel
Reference Signal Power is the power in dBm per RE of single channel
RBcell indicate total RB number based on the cell bandwidth each RB with 12RE
Sub-carrier Spacing 15 KHz 50 RBs with 10MHz
Reference Signal Power = 40 – 10 x log10(50 x 12) = 40 – 27.78
Your value "For CBRS there is 47 dbm / 10 MHz Limit on EIRP", is this value Max Power (dBm) = 47 from the 5G Noll tab of the 5G Atoll project?
Did I understand correctly?
