Thanks for the offer, I managed to use GlobalMapper and ASTER GDEM v2 to at least get the elevation data into Atoll.

However, I noticed something strange in the ASTER data: it looks like "holes" on the image:

(I put the image into a zip as the forum engine resizes every PNG or JPG image to useless resolution),

And if I use the above map area, in Atoll it is quite clear that those "holes" are affecting the coverage projection.

The same "holes" are not there with the "SRTM Worldwide Elevation Data", but the resolution of the later is not that great (although they both should be 1 arc second resolution.

Am I doing something wrong? Or these "holes" are really errors in the map data?
