Sepura - Radio does not charge battery
Hi.
I have 02 sepura STP 8240 radios that stopped charging the battery, checked all the electronics and found no problem. The charger and battery are also OK.
Even when the radio is off, it flashes the red led, changes to orange and goes out. The led is flashing all the time. Does anyone know what can it be?
Follow the link below the radio led flashing:

Re: Sepura - Radio does not charge battery
I had the same problem with STP8040. Check the MCP73864 chip, it's a charge controller. In my case, it was dead, so the problem was resolved by replacing the chip.

Most likely one of the cells in the battery has lost capacity or was discharged below 2.8V

The problem is not in the battery, in other radios the battery charges normal, only in this problem that presents. It was tested until new battery but the problem remained.

I have a stp8040 with the same problem. Radio works, but does not charge. Battery and charger substituded - they work.
Has someone changed the charging ic? Is it the same in stp9000-series?
