How Will 5G Work?
5G is the super highway for speed, information, and connections. To create this incredible speed and reliability, 5G
uses the millimeter wave. This millimeter wave operates between 30GHZ and 300 GHz. This means the 5G signal is
easily blocked by buildings, cars, planes, plants and other objects.
Because the signal will face so many obstacles, an entire web of small-mini cell towers will need to go up in every city,
on every block in every neighborhood around the world. No word yet on exactly how many towers or small masts will
need to be installed to support this network. It could easily add up to billions of towers.

How does it relate to the Library section?

Re: How Will 5G Work?
for me this sounds like marketing blabla and even more it can create fear in the population as it meantion that so many towers are needed. However 5G Radio Access is divided in multiple parts, where millimeter wave is one. 5G NR will be seen in Sub 2GHz with Passive Antennas and with small improved speeds vs 4G, than we will have above AAS (Active Antenna Systems) above 2GHz that will use technologies as Beamforming, Massive MIMO, etc to really boost the speeds compared to 4G. And only after that we see millimeter wave on frequencies above 26GHz. It's vendors and consultants dream, to see huge small cell networks since years, however reality is that mno's still focus on macro and metro sites.

Re: How Will 5G Work?
Hi pathloss,
before being a marketing prospect, see how a fact that 5G:
- uses millimeter wave;
- operates between 30GHZ and 300 GHz;
- the 5G signal is easily blocked;
- will need small-mini cell towers...
Best regards.

Hi Roman99,
is in the library section, because it is relevant information...

HI, Qui najua!
Philosophical reflections on the 5G topic are the topic of press writers for an unprepared, everyday reader.
Can you provide documents on planning, optimizing, operating a 5G network for engineers?

Is it a book, a journal, or a white paper? No? Then it does not relate to the Library section.
