    Default increasing Maximum Transmit power

    Dear All ,
when we increase Max Transmit power to 490(0.1dBm) ,Quality (EcNo) wil be bad while PCPICH Transmit Power increase also form 330 to 360.

we have to increase power for FACH ,PCH and other channels.

increase CPICH to 10% from total Power

When you increase max transmit power without increasing the PCPICH, ECNO will be deteriorated as ENCO ~ RSCP (PCPICH)/RSSI: increasing max pwr will increase RSSI. If you increase PCPICH you will gain coverage and more far user will consume higher DL Pwr. As per my experience, 490 is too much power for a 3g cell. The recommended value is 447 (30W) for a better ECNO in your cluster. It's recommended to set PCIPCH to 10% of total power. For FACH, PCH and other channel, usually their power are fixed offset against PCPICH. Therefore, when you increase PCPICH, their power will automatically increase. Also increasing their power independently may negatively affect HSDPA throughput since no reaming power for these services.
