UL Preallocation LTE
Hi experts,
I have read about preallocation on UL LTE scheduler, but I have notice that there is a extra PRB used.
I would like to reduce the PRB used on UL link. Do you think is good way to delete the Preallocation?
Thanks

Re: UL Preallocation LTE
I have try preallocation deactivation. UL PRB and PDCCH utilization are decreased. Also improvement on throughput.

Re: UL Preallocation LTE
Yes, I did the same and I only saw that the UL PRB Utilization was decreased. But I was wondering if the UL delay transmission packet is affected. i.e. Or another unpredictable behavior may appear.
Thanks

Re: UL Preallocation LTE
i already close the switch in 1 site in my network and we got a good result (PRB usage decrease a lot )

Hi mounir34
in the chart it seems that the UL data volume also decreased , is it the impact of preallocation deactivation

Re: UL Preallocation LTE
Switch off of the UL proactive scheduling will reduce the UL PRBs utilisation and decrease the interfrence , hence UL throughput enhancement, but in other hand you should check UL latency from field and user perception how it will impact.
ususally it's a compromise btw UL interfrence and Avg latceny .
