    Default ******** MTM800E programming mode

    Hi all,

Some time ago I ran into an issue with my ******** MTM800E. Up until then it automatically went into programming mode when it was connected to the PC and CPS Plus was fired up. Once of a sudden it didn't recognize the PC connection anymore automatically. If this happens to you, you can easily bypass by kicking the radio into programming mode manually. Just like the MTH800 you can do this with the keyboard:

    - switch off the radio
    - press [1] and keep it pressed
    - then also press [9] and keep it pressed
    - while [1] and [9] are still pressed, press the on/off button
    - now release all 3 keys

Don't try to press all three keys at the same time, because you won't be able to do so ;-) . Take your time to press the keys in the order as mentioned above.

    Have fun!

    Hi,

Thanx for sharing info, but did you read the manual ?
All of this are clearly explained in pdf, I mean it's the basic.

I guess, we always should to read manuals before starting to use device.

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Indeed RTFM is better, because these devices are too expensive for RTFMAGS (RTFM After Getting Stuck). Nevertheless I've read from the manual that the radio will slip into programming mode automatically after being connected to the computer and CPS Plus has been fired up. And so my radio also did. But since a while I have to put it into programming mode manually. For sure the reason for this is somewhere between chair and keyboard, but I still couldn't figure out the exact cause.
