    Default SDCCH dimensioning

Its depends on several factors. In boarder areas, for instance, SDCCH traffic will be higher.

According to the standarts to calculate the SDCCH load per subscriber, there are four values to be considered:
    - call attempts per subscriber per hour 1.1
    - time for MOC/MTC setup signaling 3 sec
    - time for Location Update 5 sec
    - location updates per subscriber per hour 2.2.
The SDCCH load per subscriber is calculated as follows:
    (1.1 * 3 sec + 2.2 * 5 sec) / 3600 sec = 0.004 Erl.

    Default sdcch dimensioning

SDCCH Traffic (in Erlangs) = number of sub * SDCCH traffic in busy hour (in mE)

Not only traffic of SDCCH you might need to consider, you might need to consider attempt and SDCCH blocked call too base on trend. Sometime it is BTS problem which raise SDDCH attempt and blocked.

But if the trend show that the targeted cell always has high traffic and always high block call you might consider to add SDCCH channel, according to guideline and dimensionning rule.

you can put for 1-2 TRX 1 SDCCH ,3-4 put 2 SDCCh and 5-6 put 3 SDCCH these are as rule if the site on the LAC border you can increased.
but if you want to have SDCCH timeslot according to traffic take SDCCH/TCH ratio and then you can fined how many TS you need.

    Hi,

You can also use the erlang B table to check if you have enough sd channels for sd traffic.

    use 0.05% GOS.
