Some bugs are fixed. It is more compatible with other software and the main reason to go for update for me is that Bing aerial is active in new version.
For all details read this release notes:
http://reference.mapinfo.com/softwar...leaseNotes.pdf
For older versions of Mapinfo you have to set a date back to enable use of Bing aerial.Use some date you remember Bing was working.
Use "RunAsDate" so you dont have to set date back manualy every time you want to use Bing aerial.
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/run_as_date.html
IMPORTANT !You have 32 and 64 version of RunAsDate. If you have 32 bit version of MapInfo then use 32 bit version of RunAsDate. That applies to all apps. 32bit apps require 32bit version of RunAsDate.
Locate RunAsDate.exe in program files or program files (x86) folder (depending on version) and rightclick on in.Then check "Run this program as an administrator" option in Compatibility tab.
RunAsDate has to run with administrator priviledges.
Also you can play with settings in RunAsDate to find succesful combination.
