Limit PS R99 Throughput to decrease DL PWR Cong

Dear experts,

I need to limit maximum thrpt on PS R99 so I can decrease DL PWR cong and save more power to HSDPA (Huawei).

How to do it ?

Hi Fahmi,

Why do you have PS R99? In my network it is negligible. In any case, try to minimize RRC Attempts, as they are a very important contributor to DL power usage. You can increase periodic LU timers, enable EFD etc. If you insist that PS R99 is the problem, there is a way either to deactivate PS RAB with high DL throughput, or even reduce the RL power used by NodeB for PS R99 RLs (this could increase PS CDR)

You must use DCCC feature to play with RAB upgrades and downgrades - Beyond the initial, mid rate you must play with the events (4A and 4B) related to this feature - Remember that those 4A/B events are different the state transition.
Also you can limit the R99 max rate for mRAB.

set your SF8 & 16 DL to zero, it wont allow to allocate any 384 or 128Kbps for R99.
if it is allowed in any cell then R99 has priority and if any R99 Ue request for SF8 you will lose 2 SF16 for HS. logics works well, try and share your results
