Default max HS Codes available= 14 instead of 15

    Hi,
Anyone have any idea about why I can only get max 14 HS Codes, while I am sure I am the only one in the cell, and maxNumHsPdschCodes parameter is also set to correct value 15 ??

HSUPA will use one code also.

In the forum this was discussed once so give it a "search" .

    Hi Shahram,

If number of HS-SCCH codes is more than 2 (let say 4) only 14 HS Codes can be achieved.

    Hence check the numHsScchCodes

already checked numHsScchCodes=1 so this is not the case.

samuraial How can HSUPA occupy the dl-codetree?! if you mean the control channels RGCH,.... it is already under code0 with other common channels, so this is not the case too.

    Hi Shahram,

What is the CQI reported by UE? Does it allow higher modulation (16/64QAM) and many codes to be used?

    hello ,
Besides the number Hscch codes to one, you need to set numEhichErgchCodes to 1

thanks, current value is 2, I am going to change it to 1 and see the impact, but how can I make sure this will not affect EUL ?

In fact I see the codes in 2 ways, using TEMS which I receive CQI=30 and some times 29, 64 QAM 100% of the test time. (it is a Inbuilding site).
the other way is to check the counters showing the number of available HS Codes, which shows 14 Codes available in max, which grabbed my attention.

    Hi,

Please check number of numHspdschCodes from RNC side . Is it really set to 15 per sector/carrier ?

    Cheers
