New Features in TEMS Investigation 16.2 New Connectable Devices
As always, we are proud to be the leading provider of test equipment based on the hottest devices on the market. In this release, we are adding Sony Xperia Z2 to our list of supplied devices, as well as connectivity to iPhone® 6. Some details:
Sony Xperia Z2 D6503 – Equipped with Ascom software, it boasts an imposing array of control functions. Introduced already in TEMS Investigation 16.1, but now also supplied by Ascom.
Support for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus – The new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models are added as connectable devices in TEMS Investigation 16.2.
Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900A with ODM Software – The Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900A was previously supplied in its commercial version, but it is now also available with Ascom ODM (on-device measurement) software. This software enables RAT and band lock without device reboot and allows you to use the phone both with TEMS Investigation and as a TEMS Pocket device.
Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900P with ODM Software – This is Sprint’s Galaxy S5 model with TD-LTE as well as CDMA/EV-DO support. Equipped with Ascom ODM software, it is capable of on-device POLQA.
Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G386T with ODM Software – The SM-G386T is a VoLTE-capable Galaxy S5 model used by T-Mobile.
Optimize your software license utilization by using Floating Licenses
TEMS Investigation 16.2 introduces the floating software license possibility in addition to the already introduced node-locked variant. A floating license is borrowed by a PC for a specific duration, then returned automatically to the license pool unless the user requests an extension.
Floating licenses offer a convenient means to increase license utilization, particularly for features that are typically not in constant use but are needed from time to time. Since they are always returned within a known (and adjustable) period of time, floating licenses are also immune to being lost indefinitely if allocated to a device that becomes unavailable for one reason or another.
Performance Enhancements
The memory footprint of TEMS Investigation has been substantially reduced in this release.
Layer 2 signaling, IP Protocol reports, and KPI events missing from BenQ handsets connected to TEMS Investigation.
Bug fixed in licensing framework: EV-DO license no longer required to enable IMS logs.
GPX-format planned routes: Improvements made to user interface for selecting GPX files (File → Options → Recording), including proper field validation.
Error in calculation of VoIP interruption time (time gap due to handover during VoIP talkspurt).
