    Default Programing MTM 800 with ******** Active serial data cable

    Hi all,

    I have the need to program an MTM 800 via the Serial Cable, not the USB Programing cable.
    I have purchased the genuine ******** Active data cable which plugs directly into the rs 232 port on the pc and appears to have a rib box built in.
    I have no trouble programming all my tetra equipment via USB, but I cannot get this serial cable to work. Are there any tricks?

    The RSS just behaves as if no radio is connected.???

    Have You put radio into programming mode?

    Have you set the correct speed for the Com port? , does the software you are using support RS232?
