Optimization tools Comparison
Hello everybody,
My boss requested me to have a comparison about optimization tools, include Actix One, Optimi (E*******), Schema, XEUS.
This makes my company to understand clearly and decide to buy. (My company is an Operator, provide 2G/3G network)
Please help me by all your idea or give me your theories, documents.
Thank a lot.

Re: Optimization tools Comparison
I was given this task years ago and I picked the solution which was technically superior, best suited to our purpose and a good price.
Sounds logical?
One of the other (older) engineers from a different department laughed at my criteria.
His advice was to forget about everything and pick the solution which helps my future job prospects.....
Now I think he was right.
Dont underestimate importance of training and support.
The solution I picked cost me a lot of unpaid overtime over the years, which nobody else takes seriously or knows about.
Few companies use this software, so career options are limited.
And of course it is always my problem because I selected it !
A popular software will be popular for a reason and have a good reputation!
Lack of training & support (will be the users problem and hit you every day)
Lack of features can be ignored if the essentials are there - things which seem cool at the start become a pain when everyone wants that extra cool but uneeded output every time.
Cost is your bosses problem if he accepts your initial decision.
Good Luck!

Re: Optimization tools Comparison
We did lot of freq. planing with Optimi and it showed very good results. It's clear that E******* is investing lot of money into Optimi and some of their solutions are very powerful. I was impressed with first look on their new web based solution with direct access to OSS and counter databases.
