Default SMS - optimization for event 3G

    Hi,
does onyone know how to optimize SMSs for a huge event in 3G - vendor NSN. How many short messages a single 3G cell can handle at once (or in some period of time)? Any clues are welcome...

Add 2 FACH channels and change RRC Estab cause for low priority traffic to 3.4kbps or even FACH...
Regarding how many SMS we can send on a cell, is a complex question, it involves the size of an SMS, the FACH channel bandwidth and load of HSDPA/CS traffic as well.

I think that SMS is mainly send over DCCH (from IDLE, as you said, RRC Est. cause with low priority signaling)
I know that it is possible to use FACH and HS, but I cannot find any usefull information about it.
Maybe someone else could share their experience?
