Which release of TEMS 16 you are using? If Lower than 16.1.2 then it's a bug that cleared in latest releases starting from 16.1.2. Release notes is here:

- Corrected Bugs in (Tems 16.1.2):
The Sony Xperia Z2 D6503 did not interact properly with TEMS Investigation, and data collection was not possible with the device.

Anyway i can't see any "Sony Modem" in Device Manager" is it the problem?
I'm using pc companion for the driver by the way...
