Best way of working as contractor in Ireland, Dublin

Hello friends,

Could someone explain to me what would be the best way in working on contract in Dublin? I am interested in opinions of on-going/( ex ) contractors.
I have few informations of the way of working with umbrella companies but, as an East European citizen, I don't know what way would result in the best rates.
