    Default CSSR formula

    dears

we have in Huawei BSC6900 the CSSR formula is

CSSR= IMM ASS success rate *(1-SDCCH drop) * TCH ASS success rate

where IMM ASS success rate equal to

    IMM ASS= ((call setup indication(circuit service))/(channel request(MOC)+CH Req. (MTC) +CH. Req. (emergency call)+CH. Req.(Re-establish)+CH. Req. (location updating))

i noticed in the cell coverd large area the channel request due to location update is very large and this increase the denominator and decrease the IMM ASS value.

The most important question is : why the location update enters this equation? Although there is no location update Process during the call setup ?

i need to modify this formula without location update

so , kindly i need your support to solve this problem

    Default Re: CSSR formula

    Hi There,
I am not Huawei expert But the formula is not correct What you call IMSS ASS is actually SDCCH establish success rate and location update part shouldn't be included As Location update is not part of Call setup procedure
The CSSR should be like this
CSSR =(SDCCH setup success rate for CS call only) (1-SDCCH drop) (TCH Assignment Success Rate)

If there is no proper counter you will not have any choice and the formula would be like this:
CSSR=(SDCCH Success rate for any reason) (1-SDCCH drop) * (TCH assignment success rate)
So you need to check available counters in Huawei system

    Cheers
