Default [Q] Who looks after MME ?

Hi, like in legacy 2G/3G networks, the BSC Engineer is responsible for looking after the BSC and all BTSs.

In LTE the same BSC Engineer will start looking after the eNodeBs. What else, if any is the BSC Engineer responsible for in the core network ? MME? Or PGW/SGW or nothing?

    Thanks.

    Hi T-ADD

After eNodeB the responsability is for Core Engineers.
BSC and RNC functionalities are inside the eNodeB
MME is one upgrade of legacy SGSN. PGW/SWG are upgrade of Legacy GGSN

    Hope this clarify your question

But where is the eNodeB configured in the core EPC? Or it doesn't?

eNodeB is the element from RAN. S-GW, P-GW and MME are elements from EPC.

Of course I know that. My question is, isn't the eNodeB configured in some some NE in the EPC? Since it connects to the serving gateway.

O ENB accesses the EPC by the MME when it tries the S1 setup procedure and it's well succeed.

MME is normally handled by same people as SGSN.
There are networks where "radio" team does it, networks where it is almost IT (it is IP and ethernet...),
most networks have PS core team.

New eNB are defined in DNS if needed: but this can be predefined.
Also, tracking areas shall be coordinated between eNB and EPC.
