I have understood your problem clearly. I am also facing the same problem like you,
Actually there is some technique for making the synchronization between snapshot and .Tab file..
I'm struggling to plot Rx Lev on Google Earth, I don't have TEMS to export from RA, I just need any other ways of doing this;)
I have tried some third party tools to make snapshot from Google and make a .TAB file for Mapinfo with snapshot, but still it's inaccurate.
I saw now one guy was having Google plots on Mapinfo but he didn't share with me the needed tool.
If anyone of u know how to do this will be great
thanks in advance,
K
Try to use Excel to kmz convertor, there are many such tools.
There's also one extremely simple way to import a coverage model to a Google Earth, by using image overlay.
Radio Mobile does this by itself, but you can do it in GE in a couple of simple steps.
For example, I made an etremely simple coverage model for downtown Belgrade, and I've exported coverage to an image file:
The important part is that I know exact coordinates of 4 corners of this image.
Now all I have to do is to open GE, go to Add > Image Overlay, and then in the new window select my image as the overlay image, ajdust opacity and enter the right coordinates for image border:
In the end, I get something like this:
Looks a bit messy, but now I have the picture about RSL around the city.
With the right level of opacity you can see both coverage and the GE graphics.
This is a tool that will bring the Google images in your Mapinfo and automatically registers it as a raster image.
Drawback: It only registers 4 points automatically, if u want to be more accurate then u can add 2-3 more points in it, Use your sites Lat and Long to create extra points. !
This is a gr8 share by "roots" , thanks for sharing !!
