Question UMTS Connected mode vs Idle mode Power

    Dears,

What are the cases for which the Connected mode power will exceed the idle mode power?

As we all know, for any service, the RL power will be a referential value of the PCPICH power, but how can we get to cases for which the dedicated mode power is higher than the Idle mode power?

    Hi,
CPICH power just defines the boundry of cell, and within this boundry cell is designed to carry all available services. Normally higher power are consumed with higher SF services.
    i.e. SF8, 16 etc.
