CDMA Network Planning Letter Release 37, 38, and 39

This document briefly describes new and changed features, offers, and capabilities
presented in CDMA Releases 37.0, 38.0, and 39.0.
These releases cover the Mobile Switching Center (MSC) and base stations. The MSC
consists of the following:
• Alcatel-Lucent 9281 Packet Switch
(formerly Alcatel-Lucent Packet Switch or 5ESS DCS)
• Executive Cellular Processor (ECP)
• Common Network Interface/Interprocessor Message Switch (CNI/IMS) ring
