Maximum number of RLC Retransmission is reached
Hi Experts,
It is quite often to see the Call drop cause or Channel Switching Failures from a message of "Maximum number of RLC Retransmission is reached". Can somebody explain the reasons and ways to combat it?
REally appreciate

Re: Maximum number of RLC Retransmission is reached
Hi,
RLC does ARQ, which is responsible for retransmission of the packets which could not be decoded.
This retransmission count is controlled by a param that is configurable on eNB (maxRetxThreshold).
whenever this count is reached RLC stopped to retransmit the same packet and packet is considered to be lost and call gets dropped.
If call is dropping majorily due to this reason that means eNB is not able to decode the UL packets and link is not stable.

Thx Kunnu!
so the broken packets are mostly caused by poor transport quality or poor RF condition?
also the mentioned parameter of maxRetxThreshold, is it E/// or Huawei?
