LS channel estimation algorithm

Dear Huawei experts In our network we just upgraded BTS 3900 to BTS R13. Immediately after the upgrade, SDCCH drop number became 1500 from 32000 (BSC level). As of Huawei, LS channel estimation algorithm is used rather CS channel estimation algorithm which was used in R9. Don't have any detail about these estimation algorithms. Can anyone please explain ? And how this drop decreased ????? What are things i've to look for to find out what actually is going on ?? Will be waiting for replies. Thanks in advance.
