    Default EVDO REV A Throughput

    Hello Colleagues

    I have a quick question. A single EV-DO REV A carrier has a forward throughput of 3.1Mbps.
So in the case of O1 (single carrier omni site) the total site through put will be 3.1Mbps
In the case of S1/1/1 (three sector single carrier site) the total site throughput will be 3.1Mbps*3= 9.1Mbps.

Is my assumption above accurate, or is there something I'm missing or have I misunderstood its principle.

All feedback would be much appreciated.

In softer handoff ratio of C/I is worse by 3 dB, and the speed drops. In real networks in the sector, the rate is 1 Mbit

according to user distribution some near and some far and the user request the rate according to it's C/I so the total sector throughout will not reach 3.1M
