i can't catch clearly with your question, so i assume this way:

1 E1 = 1 PCM 30 which one timeslot is digitized from one analog signal source, digitized process can be seen in pic untitled above then one source sampled with frequency 8kHz each sample 8 bits in 125 microsecond (speech), then multiplexed..so when we calcuted it all it became: 125 us x 30 = 3750 us

if what you mean is traffic volume in minute, then you can use jbada post, or further explanation:

    1 E1 = 8 TRX in GSM = 64 Timeslot

    Volume Traffic: 30 days/month x (1+23a) hours/day x b minutes/busy hour x 64 Timeslot/E1

a = usage efficiency compared to busy hour
b = minutes uses during busy hour

    example:

    when 1 person use traffic 15 mErlang then b = 15mE x 60 minutes = 0.9 minutes
usage when not in busy hour = 0.2 busy hour

    volume traffic in month = 30 x (1 + 23 x 0.2) x 0.9 x 64 = 9676.8 minutes/month/E1
