    Please check following
    1. CS traffic load, Site coverage Rf conditions to know exact issues. Following some parameters can also help in increasing thruput
    PDCHPREEMPT, NUMREQEGPRSBPC
    FPDCH
    Abis Resouces

Thanks for the quick response, The FPDCH is on 4, the efactor has been increased to 2, and the NUMREQEGPRSBPC is 4, what value can i increase PDCHPREEMPT to?

PDCHPREEMPT=8 which wll not allow voice to prempt data call... what are rf conditions normally of this cell....plus what is pdch sharing..

You can try changing the default coding scheme to higher ones. But it depends on radio interface though.

in the case of the parameter PDCHPREEMPT=8, it can happen to a congestion of voice? how will this affect CS services?

huge PS traffic will impact to low throughput, try to check time slot utilization.
To improve throughput, try to allocate Edge TS (NUMREQEGPRSBPC) on CHGR 0.
    PSKONBCCH must enabled
Try to PS balancing to surrounding cells, use idle parameters.

    PDCHPREEMPT

    Type:
    Numeral

    Range:
    0 to 8

    Unit:
    -

    Default:
    0

    Command:
    RLGSC, RLGSP.

    O&M:
    -

    Comments:
Defines what kind of on-demand PDCHs are possible to preempt for the CS traffic:

    0
    No PDCHs protected

    1
    PDCHs used for DTM protected

    2
    PDCHS used for Streaming protected

    3
PDCHs used for DTM and PDCHs used for Streaming protected

    4
    Essential PDCHs protected

    5
Essential PDCHs and PDCHs used for DTM protected

    6
Essential PDCHs and PDCHs used for Streaming protected

    7
Essential PDCHs and PDCHs used for DTM and PDCHs used for Streaming protected

    8
    Busy PDCHs protected
Yap it will lead to TCH congestion, if you set PDCHPREEMPT = 8 or 4.
Try to reduce ODPDCHLIMIT from 100 to 80 to limit PS time slot. And adjust HR setting to 100 to get more voice time slot.
