Max Power Amprlifier Capability in RRU
Hi All,
Anyone know about the 3G RRU Specification for the Max Power Amplifier Capability in Huawe! RRU ?
Actually i got this kind of problem :
I have the license for the 46 dBm per cell, i have 6 cells (3 for F1 and 3 for F2), but i cant implement the 46 dBm per cell.

Re: Max Power Amprlifier Capability in RRU
in simple calculation, find the maximum PA power capacity from Manual. Generally Radio unit are of 20W/40W/60W say 60W, (as SDR concept say clear difference in baseband and radio units) then you can go for 3 carrier with 20W each in sectors. But for 40W for each carrier will result 120W/sector.. then Hardware configuration with multiple cabinet may be result.
Correct if i am wrong.

Re: Max Power Amprlifier Capability in RRU
Depends upon Type of Huawei RRU, Is it RRU of 3900 or 3810. I remember a case, when a RRU was supporting 20W for two carriers(1st and 2nd carrier) and 40W for single carrier.

Thanks.
I just got the answer, depends on the RRU type as jayk said.
For 3900 max Power is 60 watt, so 1 carrier can have up to 60 watt, but 2 carrier will be 30 watt each, 3 carrier will be 20 watt each.
