Cell selection and reselction 2G E*******--3G Huawei

Hi All,

Please can anyone help me to resolve the of IRAT selection-reselection.
i.e, which parameters can be changed and in which network?
Note that the 2G network is E******* and the 3G network is Huawei.

It was not clear from/to which network it is intended to activate the cell reselection. But before everything, you should check if you have the license to activate the IRAT feature on both vendors. For example, on E******* 2G you should be able to change from 0 to 1 the SUPCOEXUMTS and COEXUMTS parameters on the BSC level.

In case you have the license and/or the feature can be activated, the basic idea is to define the scrambling code and the 3G frequency on E******* network and or the GSM cell/frequency/LAC on Huawei (on Huawei, check ADD INTERFREQNCELL settings for example).

Hi and thanks for your response,

First of all, i've this license.
Second, i've declared all the relationship between 2G<-->3G cells.
Third, the problem is when i'm in 3G coverage, the mobile is configred to 3G prefered but i'm connected to 2G network.
Finally, is there any threshold to define that let the 3G network is favored.

I whish that I described to you the problem

Check these parameters

UMFI equals to 3G cells near from the 2G cell
FDDMRR
QSC
QSCI
QSI
SPRIO
FDDQMIN
FDDQOFF

for cell reselection is not necesary to declare relationship betwen 2G - 3G cells.
