PSR and Call setup time

Hi All,

Can anybody suggest, is there any relation between PSR and Call Setup time. We are facing issue of high Call setup time >10-12 seconds while PSR has increased. Is there any relation between these, any counter/timer which can be checked. it is E/// network.

Poor coverage and High interference are the reasons behind High Call Set Up time.
But there might be another reasons like Paging congestion in MSC, Paging congestion in BSC, Paging congestion in (BTS)
Inadeuate Paging strategy, iMPROPER Paging parameter setting.
Try this
1)Implicit Detach Timer in MSC to must be set equal to 6*T3212(In BSS) + 1
2)T3113 (in MSC, not in BSS) must be set to T3101 + (3-5)seconds
3)T3101 (in BSS) set to 3-5 seconds
But you might have to study all the scenerios to conclude the exact reason.

One scenerio seems to be 99% likely the Set MFRMS TO low your Call set up time will decrease while PSR will remain high.

is it possible to cellwise PSR optimization, because we are facing in some cell lot of paging discard.
our system is NSN.
