PSR can be improved by increasing attempts.

this could effect RASR cuz u need to play with reserve Acceess grant blocks in Non combined bcch.!

I am not asking how to improve PSR.
I am asking if by some mean paging per second is suddenly increased what is its impact?Which KPI is directly impacted by it and how?

i) Paging Load will increase.
ii) CPU load in BSC/RNC will increase.
iv) AGCH utilization will increase.

Becoz of increase in paginf per secon,
RASR will degrade,
SDCCH succes rate woill degrade,
availibility will decrease

Hi,

Increasing paging suddenly, so if there is no traffic profile changing, maybe there is something on the BSC that you need to check, maybe the BSC was upgraded etc.
But if this increment due to the traffic profile so you need to take care of the capacity either CCCH capacity, SDCCH or TCH, coz the paging is used to page the MS either for SMS Terminating or Call Terminating. Eg, some operator offering free SMS to its competitor to load its network.

Just to take care of paging load and AGCH load some time it will make CCCH overload, then if it is overload so the Accessibility KPI will affected.

AGCH is proportional to Paging. Increase in PPS means large no. of terminations per seconds that will increase AGCH utilization and need to add more AGCH.
