i have E******* 2g network supporting full rate and half rate tch.
i would like to know how to calculate the TCH load (utilization) in precents.
i tried the formula for FR:
TCH_UTIL = ((TFTRALACC/TFNSCAN) * TAVASCAN) / TAVAACC
but when i tring add the HR percents, i get more then 100% percents in such cases
(The Formula:
(((TFTRALACC/TFNSCAN) * TAVASCAN) / TAVAACC) + (((THTRALACC/THNSCAN) * TAVASCAN) / (TAVAACC))
I think, the TCH/Trunk Utilization should be based on Erlang B formula with specified GoS (eg 1% or 2%).
Then you can divide the Traffic Carried by Traffic offered of the corresponding Number of TCH with Specified GoS.

We are working on a BI system that uses the E******* 2G KPIs.
I was hoping that someone can share the formula for TCH utilization since the E******* documentation do not specify what to do in the event the Half-Rate is used.
It won't work your way. This formula works only for FR system.
